Privacy Policy

MYALMANAC · LAST UPDATED 5 AUGUST 2026

MyAlmanac ("we", "us", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. MyAlmanac is designed to be local-first: your information stays on your device unless you choose to create an account for backup and sync.

01Who We Are

MyAlmanac is operated by MyAlmanac ("the developer"), based in Australia. For any privacy question, contact us at support@myalmanac.app.

02Information We Collect

a. Account information. Your email address and a password (stored securely as a salted hash by our authentication provider). We never see your plain-text password.

b. Content you create. The goals, habits, challenges, budget figures (income, bills, spending, savings), fitness metrics you enter manually (weight, height, body measurements, workouts), profile name and avatar, and app settings.

c. Subscription information (only if you subscribe to MyAlmanac Pro). Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. We receive your subscription status (in trial, active, expired), the plan you chose, and a purchase identifier linked to your account. We never receive or store your full payment-card number or billing details. Those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

d. Step count (optional, and only if you connect it). If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, the app reads your daily step count to display it. It is read-only, stays on your device, and is never uploaded to us. See section 05.

e. We do NOT collect: your device's location, contacts, photos, microphone input, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. We use no advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs. Apart from the optional step count described above, we request no health data of any kind.

03How Your Information Is Stored

Your content is stored locally on your device. That copy is what the app reads, so the app keeps working fully offline once you have signed in. Your content is also backed up to our cloud provider so it can sync across your devices. This backup is protected by row-level security so that only your authenticated account can access it.

04How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. We do not use your data to train any product.

05Health-Related Information

Fitness metrics such as weight, height, body measurements and workouts are entered manually by you and treated as sensitive information. They are stored the same way as your other content and are never shared.

Step count (optional). If you choose to connect it, MyAlmanac reads your daily step count from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) so it can show your activity in the app.

06Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers, each of which processes data only to provide its service on our behalf:

We use no advertising networks and no analytics providers. Apple Health and Health Connect are not service providers of ours: they are features of your own device, and your step data is never sent to us.

07Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You can export or reset all of your data from the app's Settings screen at any time. To permanently delete your account and all of its backed-up data, use Settings → Account → Delete account in the app; this removes them immediately. You can also email support@myalmanac.app and we will delete them within 30 days.

08Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to and correction of your personal information. If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have equivalent rights, including the right to request deletion and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact support@myalmanac.app.

09Children's Privacy

MyAlmanac is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and per-user access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable safeguards.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in-app.
